Correlation between effective cohesion and plasticity index of clay

چکیده
Correlations of engineering properties are a useful tool in geotechnical practice. This paper aims to provide correlation between the effective cohesion and plasticity index for natural, undisturbed clay soils from Kozloduy area (NW Bulgaria), based on results laboratory tests. It has been demonstrated that there is strong cohesion. The derived regression equation can be used estimate as first approximation preliminary design projects Pliocene Quaternary clays encountered northwest Bulgaria.
